you, along with alby, newt, minho, gally and a few other boys were one of the first gladers to arrive in the glade. you were the first, and only girl in the glade. you were kind, nurturing and caring. or, at least, that was how newt described you to every glader that arrived to the glade.

minho joked about you and newt being married. in his words, "you two are married, but just don't know it yet."

and when you and newt started dating about a year after the teasing started, it wasn't a surprise to any of the gladers. younger you would probably be shocked forever if she knew she'd end up dating newt in the future.

and she'd be even more shocked if she knew that in the future, you'd be considered a mother. the father? newt.

you and newt would joke around about starting a family, living by the beach after escaping the maze. the thought alone sounded ridiculous, but you couldn't say you were opposed to it.

but, three years of being in the maze, all hopes of starting a family with him were shattered when you realized you were most likely gonna be stuck here for the rest of your life. and, as much as he'd try to comfort you, kiss the frown off your face, it still felt like your dreams were crushed.

chuck's arrival, though? it was amusing, to say the least. he clung to you as if you were his mom, terrified and confused. it was natural. even you were wondering why you were here, when you first arrived. it was scary. but he was still a little kid, about eleven or twelve years old, it wasn't unexpected of him to be all shaken up, and anxious. and not to mention his nightmares. the grievers - or a single mention of them - seemed to be enough to make him cry.

and, as said before, you, as the more nurturing one, were always there for him after a nightmare.

once, you weren't in your hut, so he found you in the garden, chatting with newt. he ran to you, wrapping his arms around you. newt seemed at a loss. "what happened?" was all he managed to say.

"nightmares," chuck sniffled, looking up at his two parental figures.
