You had seen it, you had seen him, what he truly was. Ghost wasn’t only a killing machine, but something else, something from another time.
It was out on a mission when Ghost shot you in the leg, it was the perfect opportunity. No one else was around, only the two of you.
As you fell to the ground Ghost approached you, his gaze piercing through your very soul. He knew that you knew about his true identity.
Ghost crouched down in front of you. “Before there was time, before there was anything” He began, his hand finding itself on your chin, softly holding your head in place.
“There was nothing, and before there was nothing” He continued, and with every word his grip got tighter. “There were monsters”
The world around you disappeared and all that was left was you and Ghost in a dark abyss, creatures crawled around in the dark, arms and legs sticking out everywhere, hundreds of eyes staring at you and screaming, so much screaming.
It was just for a couple of seconds but it felt like an eternity, soon you found yourself back in reality. You sat frozen, your mind trying to comprehend the atrocities you had just seen.
Ghost started at you, he should kill you for knowing who he really was, a powerful figure of old. However, he could do it, he had some care for you, but one like an owner would his pet.
