you are a dancer and decided to take part in one of those improv dance competitions where you dance with a random person and music. you walked in confidently, got numbered and stood to the side like everyone else as you waited for your turn.

after a few people your number was finally called along with someone else, your eyes scanned the room before landing on the man whom you were paired with; already walking towards the middle of the floor. you started walking as well, feeling more intimidated than you first imagined as you took his hand, feeling everyone’s eyes on you both as the music slowly started.
