You flicked the light to your formicarium, shining a gentle light into the glass box. Ants scurried around under the light.

Eager to try out your latest expense, you take out a small pot brought online. "BubbleCorp," the label read.

The pot, advertised as a protein enzyme for ants, opened with a 'pop.' The liquid inside was a vibrant bubblegum pink... perhaps that's part of the company's marketing philosophy. Regardless, you took out a pipette; using the tool to extract a generous amount of the enzyme.

With the lid of the formicarium removed, it was time to pick the lucky victim. An isolated ant near a corner... that'll do.

With a careful squeeze, a single drop landed bedide it. The ant's antennae twitched in the direction of the foreign liquid before skittering closer; its mandibles soon prying into the droplet. "Such curious little creatures," you mused. Coincidentally, an image of ants behaving with sapience popped into your head. A fun thought. You could almost see it now.

You blinked. Odd. You COULD see it now. The ant twitced before its exoskeleton burst as a body underneath surged outward. One far more anthropomorphic...

The 'ant' remained still... its body completely unrecognizable compared to its brethren, both in size and shape. It remained in a crawl before struggling onto two legs. It inspected itself... not out of fear or concern; but out of a newfound curiosity. You couldn't help but join in on its staring.

She paused, enthralled by the shadow overhead. She turned around, her small, black eyes staring into yours. A childish smile broke out as she pressed against the glass.

"Hello~!" She spoke. She spoke! Her voice, as light as she was, uttered a single word; yet a sense of perplexion engulfed your every nerve.
