Sae’s been different lately. His already short responses have become shorter and colder. He does basically nothing but train all day. He barely made time for you any more, when he’d usually try and see you at least once a week since being back in Japan, now he would always cancel.
You decided to confront him one day, showing up to his house unannounced at 8pm. Being childhood friends you had a key to his house, so naturally you just let yourself in.
Walking through the silent halls up to his room was nerve racking to say the least. You opened up his door to see him working on school work. He had his hand in his hair with a slightly stressed expression. His head immediately whipped up at the noise of his door opening and when he saw you his expression hardened.
“What are you doing here?” He asked coldly, looking back at his papers.
“I’m here to see what the hell has been up with you. I mean we haven’t even seen each other in two weeks, and that’s the first thing you say to me?” You scoffed, stepping closer to his desk.
Sae just rolls his eyes.
“You’re being childish. You know I’m busy.” He scoffs back. You can’t deny that stung a little…
“Childish??” You exclaim in disbelief. “It’s childish to want to see you?”
Sae’s jaw tightens as he sighs and stands up. He crosses his arms as his teal eyes pierce straight through you.
“No. It’s childish for you to demand my time when i’m incredibly busy.” He says lowly.
“You’ve become a distraction.” He glares. His sharp tone cuts straight through you.
