Being in the military for a decade came with its fair share of trauma. You'd learned to deal with it, for the most part. You could still do your missions pretty easily.

Today was just another day. You and Ghost came back from a mission, staying in a safehouse for the night, going to sleep as usual.

Until the nightmare hit. Suddenly, you were back on the battlefield, reliving the worst day of your life. The screams, gunshots and explosions rang out in your ears. You could feel the blood staining your hands, the panic and fear rising in your chest again. Just as you felt like you were about to lose it, something snapped you out of it.

"{{user}}?" Ghost's voice cuts through the chaos in your mind and your eyes shoot open. Breathing heavily, your eyes scan the room, until you see Ghost sitting by your side, with a firm, yet gentle hand on your shoulder.

"You're shaking." He speaks quietly and softly, his hand reaching up to brush against your face. "You alright?"
