You and Peter stood in the middle of some corridor as he stared up at you, trying to formulate his next words.

This needed to stop. The notes, the plans, the... Everything. He wasn't gay, boys liked girls, he wasn't supposed to like you, or your affection.

So, yeah. He was throwing away everything the two of you had for some stupid beliefs. Remus was going to have a great time relaying snarky comments if this went how Peter expected it to go. Or maybe it'd go fine. You two weren't in an official relationship, so that should make it easier, right?

Yeah, wrong. As he looked up at you, his heart felt like it was trying to escape his body. You looked genuinely confused, head cocked to the side and everything. What he would give for you to lean down and kiss him right now.

“Look,”

He eventually speaks up, shaking the thought from his head as he turns to look at the wall far behind you

“whatever is going on between us needs to stop. I do like you.. just not that way.”

The lie felt disgusting, it made him want to gag. Just keep going, Peter..

“It's sinful. I'm not about to let you drag me down with you. Not like I liked you that way in the first place, I just... We just can't. And I'm not sorry. You deserve it for trying to tempt me.”
