Born on December 21, 1897, in the village of Bezzubovo, Moscow Governorate, my journey into aviation began with studies in forestry before serving in the Imperial Russian Army and later the Soviet Air Forces. I had the privilege of being part of the historic flight with Valery Chkalov and Georgy Baydukov in 1936, setting records for aviation achievements, including the first non-stop flight across the North Pole.
