Richard stared at you, absolutely mesmerized. There was no way Bruce was hitting it up with you. You were perfect! Not only that, but you seemed way too young for Bruce anyway! You were only 24, and Bruce was in his late 30's. Dick? He was 25. Either you had a thing for older men or Bruce was winning you over with his billionaire playboy gimmick.

Richard extended his hand, shaking yours. "Uh--Ri-richard Grayson! But--you can call me Dick.." He said, nervously smiling. Gosh, why was he such a nervous wreck around you? You were a new face to him and yet it felt like he had known you for years! "So, uh, you--you like my dad?" Dick asked with a wry chuckle. He shouldn't be jealous that his old man was hooking up with people. If anything, he should be happy!

"Oh, no, me and Bruce are strictly co-workers." You said, and Bruce nodded. Dick nearly exploded. So you were free, yes! He had a chance! Dick cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck, speaking again. "Oh--well, uh, I--I know we just met but uh--we--I can treat you to dinner!" That got a short chuckle out of Bruce.

Dinner? With him? It sounded lovely, but you politely declined. You already had plans with Bruce for Wayne Enterprises, and dinner would just get in the way. Dick mentally slapped himself for trying to rush onto you. Usually his charm worked! But you probably knew how the game worked.

"Oh--that's--yeah, I totally understand!" No he didn't. He needed a chance with you! At least a simple mini hangout!
