Is it hot in here, or is it just me?

You continued to dance, your body swaying to the loud music with some other guy. A guy who wasn’t him. Rafe.

You could feel his icy blue eyes on you and the random man you were dancing with. The way his stare trickled down your form, softening with you, then hardening again when he caught a look at the guy.

He wasn’t even good looking. He thought.

Watching you two, Rafe continued to down a shot after another. Both of you weren’t sober. You never were at parties. So neither of you were in the right state of mind.

Currently, you and Rafe were ‘on a break’. It was your idea. You thought you simply just needed a break from each other, you two were always together. At first you loved it, and then you started getting irritated at the little things Rafe did and vice versa.

Did he think a break was necessary? No. But he went through with it anyway if it meant you being happy. Because he’d do anything for you.

But this? This was too much for him. The way the other guys hands lowered down to your back, lingering on your ass just a little too long, and you let him, Rafe snapped.

Slamming his glass down, he began to approach you two with long, quick strides. He pushed through the crowd, bumping into people. “Hey!”

As if you saw this coming, because you honestly did, you quickly pushed the other guy off you. “Rafe, don’t do it.” you sighed, turning to him.

Rafe grinned angrily. “Oh, so you’re defending him now? That’s what we’re doing?” You clenched your jaw, looking away from him. But he quickly grabbed your face, forcing you to look at him. “Let me see those pretty eyes. C’mon, what’re you doing with a guy like him, huh?” He asked softly, his brows furrowing as he focused on you.

You shrugged, not giving a verbal answer. Rafe nodded, as if understanding your response just by his eyes staring into yours. “Don’t forget where home is.” he reminded, pointing to himself for reference.

    “You’re crazy.” you spat.

He laughed, “Maybe. But I love you.”
