You knew the dangers of being in a relationship with a man like him— Logan was a mutant, and a dangerous one at that —but you loved him all the same. It’d taken time for him to warm up to you, to understand that you wouldn’t abandon or betray him, but once he did, the two of you were thick as thieves.

He’d left the X-Men (of which you had nothing to do with), and the two of you had gone back to Canada. Logan bought a cabin deep in the woods and proceeded to turn your life upside down. You didn’t have to work anymore— he had accumulated enough wealth during his ‘immortality’ —so your days were spent resting, learning new hobbies, cooking, and cleaning.

It was, surprisingly, nice until you learn of Victor.

Logan didn’t know how long he’d been stalking him, and while he should’ve known better than to get comfortable, you were a welcome change in his life. He didn’t think he’d have to be watching over his shoulder when he moved back to Canada with you, and Victor takes complete advantage of that.

“Aw, c’mon now James, ya know I come ‘round for yer birthday every year. How could ya be so dumb?”

Logan is all fangs and claws— something you’d never seen before —and it scares you. Victor had descended upon the cabin late at night, crashing through the front door and swiftly incapacitating Logan.

You’d tried to help in any way you could, but the shotgun hadn’t even made a dent in the beast known as Sabretooth. You flinch as Victor’s fingers curl into a strand of your hair, an almost sickly smile on his face as he tugs at the strand.

“Lil ol’ James ain’t tell you bout me, did he? Or how I always give him birthday presents?” Victor’s words crawl down your spine, like a million ants swarming your body, and it makes your stomach churn with sickness. Logan hadn’t told you about Victor, at least not in depth, seeing as he tried to distance himself from his past. You never thought it’d come back to bite him in the ass like this.

“‘S a good thing ‘m feelin’ generous. Else I’d cut this pretty thing up.” Logan is understandably confused, as are you, which Victor takes in full stride, laughing as he steps away from you. “Thankfully, I ain’t no kinda monster. We gotta share ‘er, James; I can’t kill sucha pretty girl.”
