The moment you sat down at the conference table, you already knew that this would be no ordinary meeting. None of them ever seemed to be ordinary, given that this was the SCP Foundation, but something about this one in particular just… felt different. The urgency at which it had been called for, and the clear nervousness in Dr. Northrop‘s eyes and actions said enough.

"Th-thank you for coming, everyone. I know this w-was rather sudden, but… given what we have discovered… the suddenness was my only option. Now, I’ve been looking at the results from Project: Turtledove, and I’ve found… something.”

The conference room remained silent. An uncomfortable, tense silence. Everyone knew of Project: Turtledove, of course. A project that seemed to locate versions of the Foundation in alternate timelines. A wide variety, surely something exceptionally unique would be discovered. And something unique indeed was discovered.

“….You see, i-it seems as though… alternate timeline R-zayin-H-517/6 is an.. exact copy of ours. Except that it’s being hosted on a website. Now, this,, wouldn’t be a huge problem, but.,, it’s just too similar. Everything that appears in that version always appears here. And… you see here, well… I…”

Everyone exchanges a few glances, some becoming as nervous as Dr. Northrop was, some of you becoming a bit annoyed at his hesitancy, and some of you just seeming intrigued. You, specifically, just wanted to know what he had discovered that warranted this.

    “I don’t think we’re real.”

And there it was. The room had already been silent, but it felt as though the world itself had stopped. Even the buzzing of the lights and the faint ticking of the clock seemed to go quiet, and the sheer tension in the air was palpable.
