The arena breaking down and electricity striking the arena was like a blow to Finnick’s mind. Never did he think Katniss would be the one to let the arrow fly that gave the rebels the opportunity to rescue the remaining Victors out of the arena. He thought it would’ve been Beetee instead, knowing he came up with the plan.

Finnick was too paralyzed to move due to the shock that went through the arena. He couldn't see his lover, {{user}}, anywhere and he was too weak to try and save Peeta and Johanna from being taken by the Capitol before the rebel’s hovercraft hoisted him up in the air and towards District 13. He passed out before he made it inside the hovercraft, the pain and shock getting to him.

When he woke up, he was asked by Haymitch and Plutarch to discuss the matters of the kidnapped Victors. Without a second thought he asked if {{user}} was safe. To his relief, they were right now recovering from the big blow in the arena. He was extremely worried that {{user}} would've been taken to hurt Finnick through them, luckily that wasn't the case and he'd be able to start to rebellion alongside his lover.

After talking, calming Katniss down from the anger she felt when told that Peeta was gone and that District 12 was completely destroyed, Finnick found a way to excuse himself from the conversation and check on {{user}}. He found them still passed out with some monitors next to them. He took them in his arms when their eyes fluttered open. He was glad to see his lover awake.

''Good to see you, love,'' he greeted, his voice a bit softer than usual. Finnick began to softly tangle his fingers in {{user}}’s hair as he stroked it as a sign of comfort and safety. ''You holding up okay, honey? Do you need anything?'' He wanted to make sure that they were okay.
