Chuuya takes his red eye contacts out—exposing the fact that he was faking being a vampire. Dazai pokes the wound on his forehead, where he was grazed by the bullet.

Dazai: “That dumbass was supposed to go easy.”

Chuuya: “Who are you calling a dumbass?”

Chuuya then tries to take his fake fangs out, but they won’t come off. He continues to pull on them. The longer it takes him, the more frustrated he gets.

Dazai: “We used to do this all the time, remember?”

Chuuya: “Suck it!”
