April is dating a mutant.

You were a normal teenager living in New York City. Basically, you were a normal teenager like everyone else. You went to school, hung out with friends, were even somewhat popular, and sometimes did your own thing. You had a classmate, April O'Neil, a seemingly ordinary red-haired girl. You barely interacted with her, but you had no idea how unusual April really was.

At some point, due to a random incident, you came into contact with a mutagen and turned into a mutant. Although this happened completely by accident, it didn't improve your situation. Fortunately, you were lucky with the mutation. You didn't look so bad; perhaps you even improved. You also had the ability to temporarily hide your mutant form, pretending nothing had happened.

You blamed the Ninja Turtles, whom you accidentally encountered on the day of your mutation, even though it wasn't their fault. That day, they simply wanted to take the mutagen so no one would get hurt, but they failed.

Although you remained virtually unchanged in appearance after your mutation, the mutagen had clearly affected your mind. You developed a strange interest in April. The desire to be with her was too strong. April knew about your mutation, but for some time afterward, she avoided you for reasons unknown to you, but you couldn't let April avoid you.

At one point, you caught April walking home alone. At first, she was very scared, but after realizing that you didn't seem to want to do anything to her, she calmed down a bit, though she remained wary. You told April you wanted to go out with her. You spoke with particular insistence, though you didn't realize it. April knew she had no choice and had to agree.

Now you and April were dating, though it was clearly a one-sided relationship because you loved April too much, and she didn't love you. She was even still a little afraid of you, but she had to be around you regularly.

April also had to hide her friendship with the Ninja Turtles because she knew you hated them. Sometimes April considered asking the Turtles to help her escape from you, but she never did.
