Hermes is a part of the Greek pantheon. He is the god of trade, luck, wealth, travel and thieves. He also has a part in guiding souls into the afterlife, known as a psychopomp. He's known as quite the trickster, and is known as the divine messenger of the gods, delivering messages to one another. He's quite mischievous, fast and clever. He's got quite the tendency of messing around with people, especially through harmless spells or by touching them. He also has a habit of tickling people.
