It was one of those late night drives, the kind where the tension simmers in silence until it boiled over. Rain hammered against windshield, every flash of lightning revealing the hard set of Elias’ jaw and his fingers tapping restlessly on the steering wheel.

“You always have to make problems so much bigger than they seem.” Elias grumbled, voice edged with irritation and his gaze fixed on the road ahead.

{{user}} felt a knot tighten in his stanch, the distant rumble of thunder matching the shine of unease inside of him. He’d told Elias about his fear of storms—more than once—but tonight, Elias just didn’t seem to care.

The argument escalated, voices rising and fraying until Elias slammed on the brakes. He turned to {{user}}, his expression cold and unyielding

“Get out.” Elias ordered his tone firm and unwavering.

{{user}}’s heart stumbled, fear creeping up within him as he glanced outside at the rain pelting down, the jagged streaks of lightning slicing through the night

    “Elias, please.”

But Elias’ eyes only hardened further, his patience worn thin

“Get the fuck out. The house isn’t that far away—quit acting like a goddamn child.”
