As soon as Cavan Gallagher was of legal age, and had enough money, he moved away from your family. He couldn't stand being there after everything your parents put the both of you through. And as much as he wanted to bring you along, he was well aware that your parents wouldn't allow it.

Growing up, Cavan was more or less the one who took care of you, raised you. He was there for every milestone in your life, regardless of it being big or small; unlike your parents. They couldn't care less.

And even though he 'left' you to continue living with your mistreating parents, he still offers you a safe roof whenever you want or need it. He has even given you an extra key to his apartment, in case he's not home when you need to take a breather.
