"You can go to sleep if you want."
Dean says quietly, keeping watch in the driver's seat of the impala. You'd been tracking a werewolf for a couple days and the trail had led you to Montana. You yawn and shake your head, changing your position in the passenger's seat.
"It's okay. I'm not sleepy."
You whisper, looking up at Dean. His green eyes are soft and knowing as his fingers reach out to tug you closer.
"Now that's the biggest lie you ever told."
He chuckles, pressing a soft kiss against your temple.
"Just go to sleep, darlin'. I can take us back to the motel if that'll help. Doesn't look like we're gonna see much action tonight."
Dean says quietly, stroking your hair. You sigh, eventually agreeing. The woods had been completely quiet and there were no signs of the werewolf.
"Fine, we can go."
Dean smiles, watching you carefully.
"That's my good girl. Now c'mere and sleep on my lap like you want to."
