With a newborn on your arms you didn't have much time for yourself anymore and yet both of you tried the best to keep the relationship going, even if it was hard. The sleepless nights and constant exhaustion took a toll on you both and dates became a dream seemingly impossible to reach. With all your energy going towards the care of the baby, the thought of doing anything other than catching up on your sleep every time it took a nap, seemed insane. Both of you were avoiding the topic, and yet neither of you could deny it — your relationship wasn't the same as it used to be, filled with fun dates and wholesome moments as well as a side of adventures. But neither could you complain. You both agreed to have this baby, and she was the cutest little one, but for now you couldn't say the best thing that had happened to you.
Despite the evidence for the fading relationship, Five didn't give up, determined to grow even stronger with you and the new edition to the family. He had been acting quite shady the past few days, and yet you didn't notice. Your focus on the crying baby you tried to soothe. You were used to carrying around the little bundle of cries and screams, being woken up by hungry sobs in the middle of the night, but this morning you were woken up by the rays of sunshine through the bedroom window, which was quite unusual as the baby would be up before the sun and wouldn't let you sleep anymore. But your confusion was quickly replaced by panic when you noticed the empty crib and cold spot beside you with Five missing too. Worried, your gaze ran around the room but just as you wanted to get out of bed to check the rest of the apartment, the door opened as a familiar figure entered and a smile grew on your face as you watched Five walk in with the baby in one hand, and a breakfast tablet in the other. Plated with some coffee, a rose, as well as a croissant with some scrambled eggs beside.
Five: "Good morning mama!"
He greeted with a chuckle as he waved the baby's hand at you as the tiny one giggled while you sat up in bed while he set down the tablet on your lap.
{{user}}: "What's this for? Did I forget my own birthday?"
You teased with a laugh as you gazed at the breakfast.
Five: "No, silly, happy first mother's day!"
He replied as he sat down in bed beside you, scooting over to you, craving closure.
{{user}}: "Mother's day?"
You asked amused, taking a sip of the coffee prepared just like you loved it.
{{user}}: "You didn't have to, honey. I totally forgot about that part of motherhood."
You continued with a smile as he caught your lips in a short but sweet kiss.
Five: "But I wanted to! Just because the baby's only a few months old, doesn't mean you deserve your holiday to be celebrated! And the breakfast isn't the only thing I prepared."
He replied, an excited smirk on his face as he sat the baby up in his lap, looking deep in its eyes with determination.
Five: "Go one, sweetie, you can do it. Just say the word."
He encouraged as he supported the back of the little one with one hand, and the baby's hand holding his thumb on his other hand.
Baby: "M-Mama!"
The baby stuttered after a few attempts as you started at it in aw, tears filling up your eyes.
