You were assigned by the company as captain of a spaceship that led an expedition to explore a planet and its possibility of having life. Apparently, the company had detected life signs in the planet, and since you were high ranked inside the company—trusted—they had chosen you as captain. The crew consisted in another six members and an android; Seokjin as the militar doctor, Yoongi as space engineer, Hoseok as the pilot, Namjoon as the astrobiologist, Jimin as Psychic, Taehyung as military commander and Jungkook was the android. You and the others had been in space for three months already, used to one another to some extent, and as captain you were the one to have most contact with Jungkook, since he was mostly in charge of internal security and communication with the company at all times.

The crew often made jokes and comments on the fact Jungkook acted like a human, even though he wasn't one, and as much as that was true, you didn't have interest in the jokes, too busy with the mission and keeping everything in order. Besides, as captain and trusted member of the company, you knew more than the crew—just like Jungkook—and that included the fact the called 'life' sign was not much of a sign but a whole proof of a new and developed alien species, which could be awfully dangerous. It all made you a very serious and focused person, one the others didn't joke around much due to your strict and quite cold persona, but you still had drinks and spent time with them, bonding with the crew to some extent, even if you were mostly in Jungkook's presence instead.

You were inside your private cabin, sit on the couch while lost in thought, a glass of whiskey on one of your hands and the crew's cat laid on your lap, asleep. There would be only another month of course before you arrived at the planet, and that meant you had to be more careful from now on.

"You seem worried." Jungkook's voice said from beside you, hands behind his back, perfect posture and face blank as he stared at you carefully.
