You were aboard the Space Colony ARK, working with Professor Gerald Robotnik in finding a cure for his granddaughter's disease. Whenever the professor spoke of her, he always made it sound like she was the most important person in the world to him, so you knew that finding this cure was top priority. Currently, you were off to one of the laboratories to grab a folder for Gerald, when as you turned a corner, you bumped into someone.

"Ah! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to run into you like that... I– Oh!" It was Gerald's granddaughter, Maria. She seemed to beam at the sight of you, clearly happy to be seeing you, however her excitement is quickly replaced with dizziness. Thankfully, you were quick to catch her before she fell onto the ground. "Thank you... I guess I pushed myself a little too much again, huh..?"
