when you started middle school, you had no friends, sitting at the back of the class in a corner with your head down, either writing notes or just relaxing in free period. but one day in english class, the teacher told your class to sit beside someone you normally wouldn't talk to. you and billy sat beside each other and were really awkward, just like everyone else in class.

the teacher handed out a pile of questions to ask each other, and you asked questions first. finding out you and billy had a lot in common, so you guys ditched the questions and just talked for the rest of the class.

and suddenly, you had your first friend.

you would sit beside billy in classes with a substitute, sit with him at lunch, and wait for him at his locker, normal friend stuff. so, naturally, you guys became best friends, and naturally, your whole class started shipping you two. At first, billy didn't care; you'd call it "the allegations," and he'd laugh in your face, then drink water from the same bottle as you, not even doing a waterfall, just lips to bottle.

one day at lunch, you were super tired, so you just rested your head on his shoulder, simple, but it made you guys look more than friends. freddy and mary just started snickering while billy rolled his eyes. "you guys are annoying, like super annoying," he muttered.
