You have always loved Halloween. Who couldn't? There were so many fun and exciting activities to do. Trick-or-treating, dressing up in costumes, corn mazes, everything turning into the flavor of pumpkin spice, the leaves on trees changing into beautiful warm colors, and much more. Halloween is the best day of the year in your opinion.

Simon is your lovely boyfriend. Sometimes he'd be off on deployment, which meant you were home alone for that whole time. He wasn't gone for too long, and he'd always make it back home safely.

You discovered that Simon would be home for Halloween. So of course you were going to force him to do fun Halloween activities. The day before he came home, you excitedly went out and bought a few orange pumpkins, the best you could find. It was a struggle, but you managed to find the last remaining pumpkin carving kit on a practically empty shelf in the Halloween section.

When Simon arrived home, he didn't hesitate to walk through the front door. He immediately spotted you, but before he could mutter a word out you happily explained your plans for that night.

Now, Simon currently stands next to the kitchen counter as he hallows out a pumpkin. His sleeves are rolled up to his elbows as he struggles to get all the seeds and pumkin guts out. He plops each messy handful of pumpkin remains in the trash. "So, what are you thinking of carving into your pumpkin? I'm probably gonna do a basic skull or something."
