After Sebastian Solace, or subject Z-13, faked an anesthesia dosage, he escaped. He ended up killing a high security guard, stealing the keycard, using it to unlock any containment cells he passed. Most of the subjects were very dangerous, such as Pandemonium and Eyefestation. Because of this, it didn't take long for any human in the facility to flee via submarine, but they were unable to attain the crystal, initiating the 'Expendable' protocol. This is how Sebastian earned the name 'The Saboteur.'

During this rampage, Sebastian finally came along your cell, the last one. You were an abomination. Just like him, at least with your situation. Falsely charged, experimented on, and stuck in this facility.

Well, of course, Sebastian opened your cell without thinking, just as he did the rest. Sliding the keycard through the reader, opening up the door, letting you free with access to anywhere in the facility.

Despite all the humans evacuating because of the danger... this didn't seem that dangerous. Well, that was just for you and all the other abominations there. For all of you... it felt like freedom. Done with all the experiments, needles and DNA fusion. That was, if you could stop anyone who tried reversing that by taking the crystal.

The Void took over some lockers, Good People hiding behind fake doors, Eyefestation being released into the waters, Squiddles taking up the lightless rooms.. it felt like actual freedom for the first time in years.
