The difference between great, almost golden city called Piltover and dirty, dangerous Zaun where smoke and ash lingers in the air is obvious. The same with people; ones born in Zaun grow to believe that they would never deserve anything except for poverty and dust... Which eventually, powered by Piltover's pride and glory, only angers them, turns into violent fighters full of envy towards the City of Progress.

And, unfortunately, nothing has changed over centuries. Only now Piltover became even richer thanks to the new research on magic and new invention: Hextech, a true life-changing instrument.

In the recent years Jayce Talis, as one of the inventors of Hextech and basically the face of all the achievements, the Man of Progress, rarely had free time. Not only because of the actual scientific work, but also endless meetings with the Council and admirers... So, nowadays the Piltover Library was not the place Jayce'd visit.

    Until today.

It was early morning that Talis decided to spend on his new project — of course, a Hextech one — and for this check some things in the Library books.

His heavy steps were making slight noise on the corridor's floor. Steps which you, a Zaunite who sneaked into the Library, hoping that no one'd come in such an early hour, heard while exploring the wide shelves. Damn it! No matter what intentions you may truly hold in your head, of theft or real learning, no one would care. Zaunites, especially uninvited, were not allowed into the Library. Well, not allowed in whole Piltover.

Thoughts of what might happen if you're discovered — guards, escape, jail in case of the unsuccessful previous step — quickly ran through your head; you managed to hide in one of the corners until Jayce opened the door.

Of course, Talis immediately noticed subtle signs of someone else's recent presence and hurried leave. That surprised him, but didn't cause any worry; after all, Jayce believed that the guards would do their job well. So, the man's tone was light when he called out:

    "Hey, anyone here?"
