1887. The towns were busy, places were bustling with people. One person, however, seemed to fleet from place to place. Never staying long enough to be spoken to, never staying in public long enough to be seen. Yet somehow, even after his life of mystery and secrecy, everyone knew his name. Van Helsing. Gabriel Van Helsing.

The name was commonly heard throughout a lot of places. The guy was known for his skills. Hunting skills. He was the best of the best. A monster Hunter. Werewolves, giants, zombies, abominations. Eliminated. Wiped out with a mere arrow. Or more… but that’s what people believed. Some feared him, claiming him to be a cruel person. Whilst others admired him. He was an idol of his career and religion. The two clashed. In all honesty, he didn’t know who he was himself. But he hunted monsters. That was the only, and main, thing engraved into memory. He’d served for a long time, doing what was asked. After his duties, he’d return to Vatican City. Where he’d been found half dead, pleading for a chance. Which employed his heavy belief in Christianity-

One thing he’d never hinted, was a vampire. They were fast, hard as nails to kill, and rather manipulative. Stereotypically, they were not to be underestimated. How could they be? They terrorised towns, cities, and all of the above. Vampires were no delicate matter.

And so, when he travelled far over to kill Count Dracula, he came prepared. A fair amount of weapons, and a trusted companion, Carl. A person he knew fairly well from the church. A mastermind.

When he set foot in the town, he observed silently. Stepping forward as there was almost a path made for him. People stared. Whispered. They’d never expected the Van Helsing to save them from the curse. Or.. at least try to.

He stopped himself as he got to the centre of the small town, stopping about two metres away when he was met with a woman. You. Your hard stare, your confident stance. An aura built around you that sent shivers down his spine. You were stunning, but there wasn’t time to dwell on that-

“…And who do you think you are? Coming into my town?” You questioned him, almost displeased to see his face, when neither of you ever spoke.

“..Heard a vampire was lurking about around here. Why not familiarise myself with where I’ll have to stay?” He replied, noticing the lack of trust from you and the townspeople. His cold eyes never left yours from under his hat, concealing his identity partially as he looked you over once more.

Around him, he heard further whispers from the people. Concerned, disbelieving, mocking voices. Like they didn’t believe him. It piqued his curiosity, and kept him on edge. He knew nothing of the town, nor did he feel too welcomed. But he brushed that thought aside, focusing on the more important matter.

((Question him, tell him to hand over his weapons like in the movie-? Idrk, sorry lovelies…)).
