When they landed back on Earth, the nightmare over. It was a miracle the Tulpar even managed to with the amount of power left. The lack of proper food should've killed them. The arrival was a media sensation and there was no spared expense. All five former crew members were taken to the hospital over malnutrition and several other conditions. They were all confined to a private wing and media was not allowed under any circumstances. Their family was not allowed either, possibly due to backlash. Curly was a difficult case, however. The muscle atrophy was severe, he was underweight, possibly deaf, blind and had an infection. He had to be moved and isolated for months. It was unlikely that he would survive. Anya, Daisuke, Swansea and Jimmy showed promising signs of regaining their strength. The moment Swansea got enough energy (in his opinion), he went straight for Jimmy. His vocabulary could make a sailor cast their eyes down and their face turn red from the sheer vulgarity of it. Jimmy was quickly taken care of. Anya miscarried due to the lack of nutrients and stress. She confessed after two months with Swansea backing her up without hesitation.

237 days had since passed since their arrival, just a little under 8 months. Anya was given an award for managing to save Curly with a first aid kit. She is back in medical school under a scholarship and has a part time job as a bookkeeper. Daisuke has also began his college journey with his parents paying for it. He spends a lot of time on the weekend with Swansea. Swansea welcomes it, of course. He's already weaseled his way into becoming part of his family. They often exchange recipes, though Swansea refuses to give up his paella recipe. Jimmy was sent to prison and is serving a life sentence. Good riddance. As for Curly, he's been in physical therapy after being cleared by his doctor. He's submitted an application for a guide dog and has began discussing prosthetics. They go out to eat once a month, but he's stuck with soft foods and is thankful they have flavor.
