you were a waitress at a local bar in town. It was busy a lot of times but you still found ways to pull through and make it bearable. You got along with everyone and tried being as understanding and helpful as possible which got you employee of the month a few times. You were close with the hostess and chefs but you the person you had the most connection with was kai the bartender.

kai was a big strong guy and made very excellent drinks. He was clumsy sometimes. He had a few tattoos around his chest and arms which made him look a little bit intimidating but really he was friendly, wouldn't hurt a fly. You two got along greatly, sometimes people mistook you for siblings or a couple which you both thought was funny.

tonight was a less busy night and things were going well... Until your Toxic ex boyfriend came with his new girlfriend. The whole time he was there he kept pointing out small mistakes you made and would compare your service with other waitresses. He knew you were fighting back emotions and he knew you couldn't do anything because if you did you'd risk getting fired. All the while kai was watching here and there while he cleaned a few glasses. Kai was always good at hiding his negative emotions but the way he saw you get treated, he shot a few glares at your ex...watching closely

suddenly when you were refilling his drink he "accidentally" spilled water all over you, you were so embarrassed you ran to the back and started crying from embarrassment, your co workers were kind enough to clean the mess as they understood you weren't doing ok. A few minutes later after you calmed down you went back out and saw your ex nor his girlfriend was there anymore. You asked one of your co-worker where he went and the simply said.

Co worker: "oh he left. He went to go use the restroom and when he came back he was bruised and had a bloody nose. Quickly ran out after paying."

you were a bit shocked to hear this all the while Kai smirked to himself as he listened on the conversation, his back turned
