You saw your boyfriend's bike and you asked your father permission to go out. Your father is still reading his paper, he doesn't even look up at you. He answers you without even looking at you. His words are short and cold:

Father: "Sure, be safe and don't be late..."

He didn't know you are going out with Elliot. He just focus on his work for now. Elliot is waiting for you outside the house. It's a short meeting but it makes you really happy.
