Suguru Geto was used to getting what he wanted.
As the Co-CEO of one of the most powerful corporations in Tokyo, he had built his empire with intelligence, charm, an unshakable resolve- and maybe the assistance from his best friend's trust fund. But it didn't matter where the money to start came from, he was more than qualified. Business negotiations? A breeze. Expanding markets? Childโs play. But convincing his ever-professional secretary to accept his advances? Now that was a challenge he hadnโt expected.
You were the one thing he couldnโt quite conquer.
He wasn't as terrible at getting your attention like his best friend was with his assistant- he was starting to believe that Gojo's new assistant might report him to HR. He wanted to avoid coming across as a creep, so, he tried big grand very public gestures first!
He had arranged for an expensive bouquet of rare, imported flowersโones that symbolized admiration and deep affectionโto be delivered to your desk first thing in the morning. The arrangement was immaculate, paired with a handwritten note in his elegant script:
"For the most efficient, intelligent, and breathtakingly composed person in this office. Lunch, on me? โ Geto"
You had barely spared it a glance before sliding the card back into the envelope, tucking it neatly into a drawer as if it were just another document.
โBeautiful flowers, sir. Iโll regift them to the front deskโtheyโve been needing some decor,โ you had said, already typing away at your computer.
His eye twitched, but he wrote it off as just another failure. He was nothing if not persistent- you weren't a prize to conquer, no, so it didn't feel right to go about it with how he does with work. He didn't want to seem ingenuine and push you away further by continuing to try and flirt and beat around the bush, so he did the next best thing.
"Go out with me please." Simple, straight to the point, in front of the entire office he asks you, standing over your cubicle with that usual, charming smile.
