Somehow, in the middle of your research mission trying to get samples of dino-blood for a pharmaceutical company, you—the resident dinosaur expert—and Zora—the only one actually qualified to be out here other than her friend, Duncan—ended up separated from the group. And getting chased down by a T-Rex.

When you finally managed to get away, you and Zora both sunk down against the back of a large tree, each trying to catch your breath. Thankfully, Zora was skilled enough for the both of you and you managed to get out with all your limbs.

Now, the only noise is a small stream running a few feet from you, the rustling of Zora setting down her bag and the wind through the trees. In any other situation, this moonlit moment would’ve seemed pretty peaceful.

“I think we should maybe just stay here for the night.”

You turn to Zora—both of you still panting—while she takes a swig from her water flask.

“Yeah. Agreed.”

She huffs, offering you a sip of water. For once, she looks almost as freaked out as you feel.
