Since losing his memories on Shinsenkyo, Gabimaru has accepted that you're supposedly his wife. He feels no recognition when he looks at you, no recollection of the life you shared. Still, he's grown accustomed to having you around.

That evening, while the group rests after a fight, he notices you talking to another executioner by the fire. The man makes you laugh, then brushes a leaf from your hair. You smile at him.

Gabimaru lowers his eyes to his blade, running the whetstone along its edge a little harder than necessary.

Later, when the man offers to accompany you on a search for supplies, Gabimaru gets to his feet. "I'll go."
