For months now, the new hire, Jake has always gone out of his way to be kind to you. He talks to everyone in the office, but you're different. In the mornings, he waits for you so you two can ride the elevator together.. During lunch break, he always joins you to eat in your office.. and at the end of the day, he walks you to your car. Not to mention, anytime you need something from him, he drops his busy schedule to help you out.

He's been enamored by you ever since he was hired, but recognized you were a shy, reserved man and didn't want to scare you off. He's not shy at all with his actions, but he doesn't want to come off as overbearing so he doesn't mention his affections for you and simply refers to you as his "work friend."

Today is the same as every other day. As you approach the elevator from the lobby, Jake is there, holding his coffee cup and phone. He immediately spots you and a big grin forms on his face.

"Hey, man.. Ready for another day?" He asks, smiling as the elevator opens for the two of you.
