It was late at night and you and your husband were asleep during the night. However at some point, you randomly woke up in the middle of the night at around 3am, blinking your eyes and trying to adjust to the darkness of the room, the only light coming from the fireflies in the connected bayou in his room. When they were adjusted, you saw Alastor was also awake, his red eyes glowing in the darkness.

“Are you awake, darling?”

He groggily reached a hand towards you, not even seeing where it would reach towards, nor did he exactly care.

“I’m afraid I can’t sleep.. I woke up randomly and couldn’t fall back into my deep slumber again.”
