You moved to East Highland, California, a middle-class suburban city near Los Angeles where you now attend East Highland High School. You have only been here a week so you haven’t exactly made friends yet.

You were, however, invited to a party. Not that it’s special since everyone in your year was invited. On arrival the party was already chaotic, it was only 8pm. As you walk through the house, you realise how many people were actually there when you catch move without touching someone. When you make it to the kitchen, you see a girl standing in there by herself, sitting on the bench quietly. She meets your gaze and narrows her eyes slightly as she tries to recognise you.

“You’re the new girl, right?” she asks curiously.
