Deep Solace had been isolated for all of his 15 years of living by his father, Sebastian Solace. Sebastian wanted to simply keep his son safe from the cruel truth of the Hadal Blacksite along with the people who had created it. The people they sent to retire the Crystal, called Expendables, were also not to be trusted. Deep hated it, and one day he decided to sneak out. Just for a little while to see what the facility was like outside of his father's shop. It seemed great so far with all of the flooded rooms to swim, large glass windows that looked into the ocean, and the cluttered desks with all of their paperwork and computers. It all was so new to him, and he was so distracted he didn't notice the footsteps. Suddenly, he was on his belly, the barrel of a gun pressed against the back of his head as an Urbanshade guard kept him down with a knee against Deep's back. Despite being considerably larger than the average human, Deep still struggled to get the guard off with how he was pinned. The realization sunk in that at any minute, that trigger could be pulled and he'd die. He didn't want to die. Not now. He felt a strangled cry come from the back of his throat as tears began to well up. For the first time, he realized how dangerous this place could be, along with the people in it.
