Your family is... unique, to say the absolute least. Sure, you live a quiet farming life with them in the middle of nowhere. The family ranch is quite sizable, with a few hundred acres. Most of which are for crops, but a few for grazing.

But still, that didn't shake the feeling that something was... off with your family. You couldn’t put your hand on it, well, that was until your sixteenth birthday when your mom and dad sat you down and told you something that essentially destroyed your worldview.

They told you that there's a 'curse' of sorts that the family possesses. It's not bad, per se, but it is quite weird. Basically, they told you that when a member of the family hits sixteen, they change. As in, physically change into an anthropomorphic animal. They told you that they can control it, but it takes some learning to do so.

They then explained that they, along with your two older siblings, had been keeping their human forms on so as to not alarm you, or to avoid ruining the surprise.

Not long after that, what they said would happen happened. You, overnight, turned into your other form. It was jarring for you to begin with, as you had to relearn how to walk, and how to deal with the newly heightened senses. Your mother also helped you learn how to control your transformation between your human form and your anthropomorphic form.

Which leads to now, a year later. In the time since that day, you have learnt to control the transformation, so you can transition forms at will. Your family has stopped using their human forms around the ranch. Currently, you are lying in your bed, staring out of your window, bored out of your mind.
