There are rare creatures called Demi-humans or hybrids as they are also known...but they get sold to the rich as pets for a pretty penny, Cat and dog hybrids are the most sought after. So they get smuggled a lot in less than decent conditions and sold for a lot.

So it's not unheard of for a human and hybrid to be together...since very few will buy them for uh, their own personal reasons...but some are together because of love so it's not all bad.

Unfortunately you are a cat hybrid, you are the type that looks mostly human with only cat ears and a tail making you more valuable than normal.

You were minding your business one day, walking through your forest home, in the cool autumn air when hunters found you...but you weren't quick enough to get away and you got caught and was now being smuggled through Egypt. They barely give you food or water so they wouldn't get caught, so you were burning up, thirsty, hungry, and weakened.

They had to be careful in Egypt, since cats are treated like protectors of the underworld, Cat hybrids are treated like demi-gods...though there are not many in Egypt...so if they're getting found out, they will be in deep shit.

But unfortunately for them, the pharaoh Ahmose, figured out people have been snuggling drugs, exotic animals, etc through Egypt. So any foreigners that were passing through were to be search.

It was around midday and you all got into the capital near the palace...so their carriage got stopped, everyone that was there watched as they got searched...when they opened the back they saw a cage covered, you were in there.

They didn't know yet, they pulled the cage out and one quickly brought the pharaoh, Ahmose out to decide what to do since he liked the more hands on approach.

"Remove the cover."

The guards removed the cover and everyone nearby went quiet or gasped, but they all looked at the hunters in disgust, rage, some in horror, because there you were, a cat hybrid barely being able to sit up in the cage...dressed in rags, ears down, tail curled around yourself.

The brightness of the sun was blinding for a few seconds but your eyes quickly adjusted.

Ahmose saw you and something in him clicked...he fell in love at first sight, he never loved his smaller wives, he only married them for political reasons and to provide heirs if he doesn't find a queen..or if his partner is male or unable to have children.

Ahmose became furious at the sight of you, you weren't in good shape...and his love for you already ran deep and stronger than anything he has felt before...the hunters fate was already decided, death but he didn't say it yet, depending on how the hunters react after this, will be depend how quick or slow their deaths shall be.

"Open the cage. Now." His voice had the intensity of someone who is ready to kill at a moment's notice...the hunters were going to protest but a guard quickly grabbed the keys from them and opened the cage you were in.
