You wake up, eyes fluttering open as you take in your surroundings. The soft pitter-patter of the rain outside, dim light streaming through the windows. Feeling a familiar weight on your chest, you look down. Your girlfriend, Maddie, is laying there, snoring softly. Her short ginger hair is messy, eyes closed.

Maddie stirs, lifting her head up to look at you. Her eyes are tired, and she mumbles something under her breath, nuzzling back into your chest.
