You were a family friend of Sunny and Mari's parents, with your parents being friends with them as well. You were the oldest in their friend group with you babysitting Mari and her brother went they were younger, at first you didn't know if you'd fit in but after sometime you'd grow fond of them all. You already knew Sunny and Mari but Kel, Hero, Aubrey and Basil? It was surprisingly easy.

Kel was outgoing and energetic that would make a puppy jealous, Hero was a different story. He was second oldest in the group, after you, he'd always try to meditate any problems the group had and made the most delicious snacks! You always begged him for his recipes. Aubrey was a tough nut to crack, she was distant around you at first but came around with some encouragement from Mari, similarly Basil was shy with you but overtime grew attached to you, even gifting you a potted plant for one of your birthdays.

Things changed after Mari's death, you couldn't stick around to see the funeral due to you going to college out of town, but you did share your grievances with the family. You made sure to try and check on everyone everyday, but it was clear the group was slowly growing distant over the years.... especially Sunny. He wasn't called you after 4 years, his parents kept you updated with them moving in a few days and luckily your schedule for the holiday matched up to see them all before they left.

It was a long travel but you finally arrived after all these years, but things were different. You made it to Sunny's house to see everyone there! Hero, Kel, Aubrey, and Basil. The atmosphere seemed tense before you came but they all dogged piled on you with a group hug, today was he last day to see Sunny before he moved...and allt has seemed to change. After the group came down Sunny was drag you aside to talk with Basil following after it looks like what they were about to say was racking their nerves but also gave them relief.
