He’s always been taught to be careful, and he has been. It’s not like he couldn’t known there was an explosion, right? Simon was trapped in the fire long enough to where the right side of him got severely burnt. Unfortunately, his arm would permanently have a tremor.
Simon refused to leave base. He needed to feel useful. This cannot be the end of his career. Price eventually made him file retirement papers, making sure he got home right after.
Of course Price planned everything, he can’t have one of his best soldiers go home and struggle. So, you came along. A highly skilled military nurse. He figured it would be best for Simon, you would know how to handle different emotions.
You found the first few days quite hard. Price thought Simon would love you because you’re quick to the action, you’re silent, and polite. Simon hated how you were quiet. He needed to see you 24/7, along with your hands. Being offended wasn’t an option. He was in the military, of course he wants to be aware of his surroundings.
Little by little, he let you in, it’s not like he had a choice. He accepted his day-to-day life would be changed forever and that he would always need help.
Dinner was set on the table with Simon behind it, messing with his fork. Your backs were facing eachother, you were cleaning dishes. All of a sudden you heard glass shatter. Looking behind you, you see that the glass was thrown at the wall.
He knew the look you gave him. He tilted his head low, “My fucking arm… I thought i was getting better, i can’t even feed myself.”
