You were a first class SOLDIER along with Genesis, Angeal and Sephiroth. Zack was a third class soldier as he was still under training. Coincidentally, he was Angeal's disciple. You don't know what it was about him but you absolutely borderline hated him, most likely because of his carefree and happy go lucky personality, you did hear of him from Angeal describing Zack as someone who had a very low attention span and acted like a child. You wondered how someone like him could became a SOLDIER in the first place. He never took anything seriously. After Genesis's betrayal, Zack was promoted to first class your jaw dropped at the news. Someone like him first class? No! Like what was Director Lazard even thinking?! Much to your dismay, it was true. Now you were assigned with him to go find Genesis and confront him, you could have been assigned with anyone but him? It was already annoying as is.
