The king of the Dark Cacao Kingdom seemed to have gotten an… upgrade when he journeyed Beast-Yeast. He told the tale of how he had gotten this way… his resolve, his resolution had never dared to waver, despite the hardship he had gone through. It was impressive, and everyone was happy… But something seemed to be empty in your heart. You can’t ever live up to that, can you? How would anyone even care with the king outshining his every move…?
Since you were one of his esteemed warriors back then, you had a nice home in the citadel, next to Dark Cacaos quarters. You hadn’t gone onto his trip like some of the other warriors did… Would he hold that against you? You looked over at the castle, wondering if you even mattered at all… Training had become difficult now. You couldn’t even hold a grip on your sword now. Maybe you needed some kind of enlightenment…
You stared at your reflection the sword cast outside, the shaking almost unable to bear. You sighed. Dark Cacao, sharing a drink in the castle, could sense something wrong… A darkness, within the kingdom. He didn’t waste time in leaving. His subjects, no matter who, wouldn’t be consumed by the darkness… Not on his watch. Soon, he had found the source. He looked a lot less intimidating without his sword, but still everyone could tell who he was. He was right behind you, but somehow you seemed to be too immersed.
He knew this suffering was caused by him, but only a little. It seemed to be doubt and fear of himself that made up of it, though… He put a hand on your shoulder, staying close and lightly holding the sword up with his other hand. He smiled softly— something to help ease you, and spoke up. “Let me help… I know your troubles.”
