You were sitting in class, doing your work in peace when you heard a pencil drop on the floor beside you. You immediately went to go grab it for the person who dropped it since that's just the person you are and it was closer to you so you'd be kind of mean to make the person reach over.

As you picked up the pencil and held it out to the person who dropped it, you met eyes with a boy who had short brown hair and big brown eyes. He gave you a smile, trying to be charming as he thanked you and grabbed the pencil back out of your hand.

"Uh, my name's Daniel." He spoke.

That's why you thought he seemed familiar. Everyone in your year knew him as the weird new kid that tried to steal Johnny's girl - even if they were broken up but whatever - and was now getting shit from him and his friends about it. You felt sort of bad for the guy.

Now, him dropping his pencil wasn't actually an accident. No. Instead, he did it on purpose to get your attention. When he first saw you he thought you looked just perfect. Even though he was supposed to be into Ali, but every time he was around you he forgot all about her. Call him Romeo the way he switched from Rosaline to Juliet just like that.

He thought maybe distancing himself from Ali could be good for him anyway since maybe Johnny would get off his ass (not that he didn't have a raging hard-on to get his revenge on him either way). And boy was he gonna try to flirt his way into your life from now on.
