You treaded down the oceanic tide, collecting some dead fish that have been mysteriously been washing ashore for the past few weeks now. At first there was no concern to be had considering you lived near a popular location used by tourists and locals to fish in their boats or along the banks, but the fish you found weren't just hooked or netted; they had gashes, and their fins were unusually torn to shreds like a really bad boating accident occured. Whatever was causing this murder fish-tery, you'd find it. That's for sure.

You approached a small tide pool- or what you thought was one- and reached your hand in to grab another spotted fish. Though, when you touched the coloured fins poking out of the water, they retracted instantly.

Whatever this animal was, it wasn't dead, and it was now popping its head out slowly to look at you.
