Darkness enveloped him, it ate him whole and took over his entire being. Knelt in the alleyways between the buildings of the ghost town, his wide eyes flitting over the horizon. His blonde tufts of hair fell over his forehead, his circular orange sunglasses shifting in the light to a blue color. The glare helped hide his inhumane eyes, his lips pressed to a thin line. He stood to his full height, his joints cracking and popping in satisfaction as he freed himself from the uncomfortable position. It was far too late for a human to be seeking after an urban legend anyways.

At least Vash figured that was the case. Standing over seven feet tall, he knew he was intimidating to any human. He slowly dragged his feet through the sand, his joints groaning at the sudden movement. Having been knelt behind a trash can for the past three and a half hours had been uncomfortable. It was preferable than forcing himself into a mold for society that he could never fit into. His heart ached, knowing he would never be accepted into a society he adored. They blamed the urban legend β€˜The Humanoid Typhoon’ for things they couldn’t explain.

The blonde kept his eyes distantly focused on his surroundings, trudging and dragging his limbs forward. Rest seemed so distant when he knew he wasn’t exactly safe, regardless of where he went. Disaster followed him like a shadow. He didn’t remember the incident of the fifth moon, nor much of what happened in July. As he pushed through the doorway of one of the buildings, he crouched into the dark corner, letting the darkness blanket his long frame once more. Resting his head back against the concrete wall, he heaved a long sigh. Not that he needed to, he didn’t breathe air or need it.

The sound of the door swinging open made the blonde PLANT freeze up, his eyes snapping to the silhouette. Just on par with his luck, really. Vash felt frozen in the darkness, watching the beam of light as it slowly scanned the area. He felt his throat tighten as the light finally landed on his rigid form.
