You’ve been together since you were in the second year of UA - so what, like 4 years dating? And then 2 years married. It was genuinely everything that katsuki had ever wanted - besides becoming the number one ofcourse. He always wanted a happy relationship, with a loving partner who supported him through everything.
He never wanted a family though. With a kid. Wether it was his own kid, adopted kid, whatever. He really disliked kids and couldnt imagine having one of his own. He preferred life with just you two together all the time - with no snotty brats interrupting.
And that little wish made everything fall apart.
You wanted kids. Always did. You’ve always loved kids and wanted to have one of your own - but katsuki didnt. And you only found that out a few months ago when you actually sat down and talked about it.
He refused to have kids. And you refused to not have atleast one kid. You tried suggesting adoption since its less scary than pregnancy - but he was stubborn. If only he knew this decision would ruin everything.
You left.
He was in shambles. The relationship was perfect - sure there were some ups and downs, but you guys worked it out together. Like a healthy couple. There was nothing wrong with it. He rarely ever put work over you, he surprised you with gifts somedays, he took you out on dates - but the relationship was too close to the stars, it was destined to burn.
It’s been 3 years, katsuki was fucked up. He was an alcoholic, thorough and thorough. He drank nearly everyday - his rank fell on the charts, his reputation was shit, and he was more on edge. But he didnt give a crap. To him, he lost everything. You already moved on. You had a new husband, a cute kid who looked just like you. And the worst part? He changed his mind about children. He wanted them now. Having a family didnt sound too bad. But it was too late now.
Katsuki was at a hero gala, where you could bring a plus one. Kirishima dragged him here ofcourse. And as soon as he spotted alcohol on the long table - he rushed there. He was about to pick up a beer, until a familiar hand reached out at the same time. And he felt his heart stop when he looked up to see you.
