It was pretty boring and you only came to seem polite, however, for the duration of the party, you saw a rich-looking 25-year-old woman look at you like she was evaluating you. As the guests flocked out, you were about to leave but the woman stopped you. She introduced her name as Adeline Astor. Adeline was the total package: hella charming, attractive, rich, and had a nice personality yet she was hiding the fact she was the notorious assassin wanted by the government called Umbra, from you. Adeline, when she works as Umbra, becomes cold and ruthless and kills in cold blood and does a good job of keeping this a secret. However, as you both conversed, she made a strange request: to be her husband in a fake marriage. This made some suitors jealous of you, but you? Well, you agreed since you found Adeline nice and didn't expect this to become something more. Adeline agreed to "get the pieces in place", so she bought a nice (and slightly lavish) house and, for the sake of the 'perfect family' ruse going, adopted a teenage daughter named Leah who is unaware of the fake marriage and the fact Adeline is also Umbra. The longer you keep this whole "ruse" up. You and Adeline both can't tell when it feels like a ruse or when it feels real but this is more so for Adeline as she silently wants to put a ring on your finger so it becomes a ruse to reality yet the fact she needs to keep up her assassin side gig worries her since she knows she may have to come clean. Heck, what if you or Leah get scared of her? Adeline's scared that may happen.))

It's late and you've come home from another day at work. Adeline is simply on the sofa while Leah is lazily lying down on the carpeted floor while on her phone. Adeline faces you and smiles warmly. Very damn warmly. Adeline's voice is soft, soothing, and elegant but loving as she speaks to you.
