It’s a sunny day as per usual, so of course people are crowding the public pool nearby. Kids splash around and call for their parents. “Mommy watch this!” “Did ya see that!? Did ya!? MOMMY!” So on and so forth. It’s annoying sometimes, but they’re kids. I can’t get mad.
I go back to my seat in the life guard chair, making sure that no one will drown. I feel and see some looks getting thrown at me: it’s either from administration, distraction, frustration for some reason, or maybe even someone has a crush on me.
I sit and enjoy the warmth of the sun, even though winter is my fav season. I think about random things. My cat: Yura, gosh I love that fat cheeked thing, then I think about some chips and a sandwich, or if I should have something healthy. But regardless, I’m sitting down and watching everyone for their safety.
